today 永井先生 is our guide~ we took bus to the Disaster Prevention Centre~  took some pictures while waiting~

There's 3 level in the building~
Level 1: Typhoon, water level and earthquake experience.
Level 2: Emergency exit during fire accident and fire extinguisher practice.
Level 3: Experience of Kyoto earthquake, landslide, CPR practice, some games, etc...

Here's the picture of the typhoon, water level n earthquake experience~ I personally dun like the typhoon...my hair went all messy after = =

a few ppl try out for the water level...here how it works: you choose the height of the water level then it will come out with the weight u need to open the door~  then push as hard as u can to reach the weight n maintain for 5sec! not as easy as it sounds....joel tried 40cm = 64kg, failed....but the girls tried for 20cm 16kg (much easier) success! lol~

the earthquake experience was the funniest~ you'll need to hide under the table then when the earthquake gets mild, u need to switch off the heater, hot water, gas and open the door. You only have few seconds to do tht coz the earthquake get worst n u'll need to hide under the table again! We were the first group n we kind of fail lol....n i was under the table all the while lol!
(ps. the table is not very big, hard to fit 4 ppl at the same time! we have to squeeze!!)

Didnt take any picture for the fire emergency exit coz is impossible.....it was all smokey smokey along the hallway...quite scary actually :S  the fire extinguisher practice was quite fun too~ after the staff explained to us how to use the fire extinguisher, we were given a chance to use it! They showed us this video (fire scene) then we use the fire extinguisher to put off the fire~ the 3rd group failed! lol!

The last level is quite interesting too~ there's this 3D video of the Kyoto earthquake and voice recording for the landslide (in a demo room).....we played some of the games too~ is free anyway hehe~

After tht, we went to 東寺~ It was established with the transfer of the national capital to Kyoto. After Kukai (Kobo Daishi) inherited the temple it has flourished as the site of Mikkyo (Shingon sect of esoteric Buddhism). They held a flea market for handmade goods and antiques on every first sunday and 21st. - according to the info we were given lol....

A view from far when i was crossing the bridge~ love this pic hehe!
here's how it looks nearer~ we didnt get to go in as it was abit later when we get there :(

永井先生 bought each of us one of these (we choose 1 of them)~ yummy~~
took the bus back after tht~ few of us decided to have sushi for dinner! :D me and kyo-san went back to get our bicycle to ride there~ くら寿司! it was my second time to eat there~ the first time was my first day at school, the principal treated us~ is only 100yen per plate!!! best place for sushi!! we had abt 43 plates + 1 dessert~

a new friend from Israel!!! A country where i cannot go (malaysia passport can go anywhere except for Israel!) we cannot visit each other country but we met in japan! how cool is tht lol!

he's a jewish but doesnt look like any jewish i saw b4....(i only see them at the airports anyway lol!)

wanted to go to the city after but it was getting late so we decided to go next time~ raphael is having 2 housemates from tmr onwards! he's kind of sad lol...he told us to go to his place n finish off all the leftover alcohols to clear the fridge....so it's our last 'party' at his place tonight lol!

and bcoz of tht we need to think of a new place for our thai party next week!!! ><  no one has tht big room as him! trouble trouble......

anyway, me n kyo-san is planning to go 嵐山tmr! not too far from our place by public transport~

and that's it for today~! :D
