set off at ard 1.15pm to 廬山寺 for 節分 (the close of winter-ceremony)! Japanese people believed bad vibes (ogre) come up on turn of the year. So this is a traditional event to drive away evil spirits and bring in good fortune. Some pictures on the way~~
Took some pictures ard 廬山寺 while the Oni was busy doing the praying for ppl...
Since we need to wait for another half n hr b4 they continue the ceremony, we decided to go to another shrine nearby which is famous for its water! one of the most delicious water lol! here is the place~ i emptied my bottle n filled in the water~ but i couldnt tell the difference actually lol!
we went back to 廬山寺 after n it gets more crowded!! so hard to take pictures of the Oni!! >< There's 3 Oni which represents earthly desires and each Oni (different colour) have different meaning. Red is covetousness, Green is anger and Black is complaint~
it took them ages to finish the ceremony....i was getting bored in the end coz it was so crowded n i couldnt see anything properly = =....me n eonni started planning where to go after~ n just when we gave up taking pictures of the Oni....the ceremony ended! n we finally get to take picture of the Oni (not just the back)!!!!
